Seared Ahi Tuna Steaks
We love steaks of all kinds, but this 6 minute seared Ahi tuna steak really stands out from the crowd! In just 6 minutes, you can enjoy this healthy meal at home, or add 10 mins to overnight if you choose to marinate the tuna steaks. They taste great on their own, or you can use it as a salad/protein bowl topping.
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
1 tablespoon honey/brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon canola/olive oil
- Marinade 10 mins to overnight (optional).
- Sear the tuna over med-high heat for 2-3 mins per side for a medium rare centre. Time will vary based on the thickness of your tuna steaks.
- Plate and top with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. If you chose not to marinade, try some soy sauce, lemon, and ginger on the side.
